Hi everyone, I am a total novice, I have enjoyed taking pictures for the past 12 years or so, basically since having the kids, with a basic digital camera (I have never spent more than £100 on one) Over the last four years though I have been more interested in taking pictures of sunsets and landscapes and wildlife basically anything and everything LOL.

I have always found it extremely frustrating that with all my past cameras they have never been quick enough in taking the pictures and recovering.

I have just bought the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18 and I have fallen in love. OMG I can't believe the pictures I am able to take. Now they are nothing compared to some of the pictures I have seen in your gallery but compared to my efforts at taking pictures in the past it is a huge improvement. I did look at the DSLR but they were a bit out of my price range, I was pushing it getting the FZ18 :lol: and besides I didn't want to get anything that was going to be over complicated.
I'm not that quick at learning things:thinking:

I do hope I will learn more about exposure, shutter speeds, and all the other technical stuff, I would love to be able to achieve some of the stunning piccies I have seen on here.
