I joined a while back, and have just been lurking.
I was interested in getting a DSLR because when we take the dog out for walks I wanted to get some nice photo's of him jumping through the forest and ferns etc.
I started looking back when the 1000D had just come up, but have still not got anything.
I'm looking on Ebay and places like that for a cheaper starter kit rather than buying everything new just to see how I get on. Was hoping to access the classifieds to see if someone is selling a start kit, but I need more posts!
I did like the Sony A290 / A390, and also the 1000D/1100D.
I've been offered a nearly new Sony A290 (shutter release count is only 374) not sure how much these are worth second hand now. Also I guess I'll need a decent zoom lens for trying to snap pictures of the pooch.
Anyway, thought I'd say hello, and spend some time looking around the forum and trying to pic up tips.
