My name is Taz and I live in West Yorkshire, UK. Originally I am from St.Petersburg, Russia.
I am an artist and originally wanted a camera good enough to take photos of my paintings. Before buying I thought I should get a magazine or two and find out more about DSLRs. It just happened so that I got a Nikon mag and eventually decided to buy a Nikon D5000.
I also got myself a book about the camera and before long I discovered that I was hooked on photography.
I used to do photo- and cinematography when I was at school and I liked it then because it was a personal thing - I could go away on my own, just me and the camera and I really enjoyed it. In my studio there is always someone else, someone looking at the paintings or asking questions. I find that going on a walk (I live in countryside) with my camera now makes me remember how I enjoyed it as a child.
I am here in order to learn, get critique and advise and(hopefully) to improve my photo skills.
