Have just signed up so thought I'd drop in and say hi. I'm Matt and live in Swadlincote, not far from Burton on Trent. At the minute I have a Canon 1000D which I'm trying to get to grips with. Currently waiting in for DHL to deliver my 70-300 lens ready for RIAT in the coming weeks so if anyone has any hints and tips for airshow photography it would be much appreciated.

Hi Matt,

welcome to TP, im new here too.

I live in Leicester so not to far from Swad! would be good to get some ideas of good places to shoot in the area from you as im fairly new to Leicestershire/Derbyshire.

Have fun at the Air Tattoo .. coventry airport have a fairly new museum called Airbase with a nimrod and some other nice planes. Might be worth a visit to practice those shots.
