I've been signed up for a few weeks and so far have posted a few times and bought a lens in a trouble free transaction on the Classifieds. Seems like a friendly and informative place.

I used to dabble in film photography many years ago, processing and printing my own B&W then it went off the radar for a while when my kids were young. They take so much of your time when they're tiny!

Anyway, took the dslr plunge a couple of years ago after going through a few point and shoots. Sold most of my old MF Nikon kit (kept the FM for sentimental reasons!) and bought a D40 with a couple of lenses. It's a very usable camera if a bit small in the hands.

I need to make time to get out and take more than snaps, then find the courage to post them up for comment. :eek:
 
Welcome to TP ! This is a great forum, plus classifieds a great place to buy from - you know the kit will have been well looked after !!

The D40 is an outstanding little beast, don't underestimate its' potential. I love mine to bits, and even though it's been through a rough period, I've just spend close to the price of a new one getting it serviced. I just love it.

Incidentally, since you've done a good transaction here, I hope you know about the iTrade feedback which you can leave, and receive, for this. It will come in very handy as your lust grows :p
