I'm from Nottingham, have just bought my first DSLR - a Sony A200, not the best on the market, but a MASSIVE step up from my 5year old 5mp Kodak!! 
I'm an absolute beginner by SLR standards, and haven't got much of a clue when it comes to all the settings etc, but have enrolled on a Btec Digital Photography course starting in September, and can't wait to get started.
Anyway, I've rambled enough now....
