Hi, was sent here from another forum. Been doing quite a bit of read about and definatly lots of helpful information for a newbie like me.

Been looking into purchasing a Canon 30d. Looked into a couple, just haven't bought one yet. Already got myself a 18-55mm lens and a 8gb CF memory card!

Used my mates Nikon D40 a couple of times and loved the photo's it took etc but prefered the feel of Canon's so can't wait to get my own dSLR.

Thanks guys. Figured there might be a few people from Edinburgh on here. Be good to see if there was any good places to take photo's other than the Forth Road Bridge and up Authur's Seat.
