Morning all

Im new here my names gareth, Im a site manager at a primary school and ive always liked taking pictures were ever i go mostly on days out with the wife etc.
Until recently ive never had the luck of owning a good camera but now that has changed as the wife has brought me a Nikon D3000 which to me is a great gift is its the type of camera ive always wanted.

I dont have the best understandings of photography but i would like to learn more and get more into it so thats why ive joined here.
Does anyone know were would be the best place to start learning, are there any good books i could get etc or could i get the tips on what setups to have for different shoots etc and common tips and faults beginners need to get the best pictures

welcome to the forum, we were all beginners once :thumbs:

and here is the best place to learn, always someone willing to answer your questions, be an idea to put your location in your profile, you find there are "Toggers" in your area :D
