Hi,
I'm Rob, I live in Lancashire, work as a fitter at an electrical engineering firm.
I was recommended to join here by a photographer friend. I've always had an interest in photography and one of my goals or a while now has been to own a dslr and actually step things up a notch and learn the science. However, cost has always been prohibitive with 4 kids (yes we have a telly
) there's always something else to spend money on and I couldn't justify the expense on a 'hobby' (my motorbike doesn't count 
) so made do with point and shoot compacts.
Recently however I entered a competition with an electrical retailer, had to send in a photo under the theme "Summer of Colour" and mine got chosen!
So I now have a lovely Canon 600D and no to idea how to use it
. I'm unlikely to be posting much, rather spending lots of time browsing for info.
