Hi all, I'm on a big learning curve since I picked up my new Canon. Looking forward to reading the forum, taking part in competitions and so on. Any initial tips you could give me? I am willing to listen to suggestions/help. :) Extremely busy forum so will begin learning.

There are an endless well of resources, tips and pointers in the various subforums. Too many to list ... have a flick through the various threads and / or use the search for anything specific. If you don't find what you're looking for, post a question in the relevant sub-forum and many will come by with good tips :thumbs:

Thanks for the welcomes and I picked up a Canon EOS 450D with the 18-55mm lens it comes with. Already looking for a flash and new macro lens so if you know of any good deals, send them my way! Thanks :)

There are numerous deals to be had in the 'Classifieds' on TP, I scan them every day, like me you are able to buy but not sell........yet. read the rules to update yourself A big welcome to you, you will definitely become addicted, I guarantee it!
