hi all my first post

im totaly new to all this photography business so try bare with me and hi to all.i have recently been using a minolta f100 only 4 mp to take some close ups of my lizzard an the shots turned out pretty good.(i used the macro setting autofocus) so now im getting a passion for image quality.im looking at getting a cheap replacement to my current minolta..i have been looking at Konica Minolta DiMAGE A200 8.0 Megapixel . the Sony A100 DSLR .... Minolta Maxxum 5 or 7. anyone any sugestions of older cams that will take a quality shot etc at close up ranges. im a student and only have a low budget.unlike some off the 300 -1000 quid cams . cheers guys

Hi there, your not a million miles away from me either!

I'm a relative newcomer to photography but my advice is to go around the camera shops and handle as many within your price range as possible. Once you find a few that feel comfortable, do some research then take the plunge. Good luck and enjoy the search.
