Hi all, from the the newbie

Hi, I've been interested in photography for many a year and now the kids have left home I have a shilling left from my pittance to be able to buy the occasional bit of kit. Currently I have a Canon 40d with the 17-85 and 70-300 IS lenses.
I am from the Midlands, which while not the most chocolate box of areas we can get to most places. Currently I am messing about with a couple of Metz 45 CL4 as strobes and driving the wife mad with seeing what affects I can get. I have read a number of posts and read with interest other peoples photographic preferences, the post on Music and concerts was ace, and some of the shots very exciting. How people get into their fields is also interesting.

Thankyou for your warm replies, Photography can be a solitary and meeting like minded souls may be good idea to expand individual horizons and increasing depth of fields
