Hi All,

Have just joined the Group having now retired and having decided to take my photography more seriously. I live on the Norfolk Broads, my current kit being no more than a D5100 with 18-55mm lens plus tripod. I use LR5 and Elements 11 for post processing. As for hobbies outside of photography, my wife an I are keen narrow boaters having owned one for many years - goes well with the camera stuff :-)

Am currently looking for a "walkabout" general purpose lens to take on our forthcoming 3 weeker in Cyprus. Upon return I shall start thinking about extending my collection of lenses.

We hired a boat from Phoenix Fleet near the bridge on the meet 2 or 3 years ago.....I like Potter Heigham.
 
Pheonix Fleet, owned by Patrick an Robin Richardson - good blokes with whom I have had many good days sailing in the past.

Yup Byker, very hard to get larger craft under Potter Bridge. Bad for the boating but great for the wild-life. There are too many boats afoot in summer - which is why we o our boating on the River Great Ouse.
