Hi all. I'm from Kent, near Maidstone and Sevenoaks and have been recommended this forum. Looking at getting a DSLR to take good quality photos stepping up from compacts (had a canon powershot s90). I'm a big fan of landscapes/nightscapes , but with my wife pregnant, my focus is on learning to photograph babies so we can record it as much and as best as we can as it all goes so quick

We're a friendly bunch with loads of members happy to share tips, advice and help others with their photography.

Our Landscapes section has some pretty skilled regulars, and there's plenty of folk in both the Rural and Scenic areas and the Night photography areas, plus a few people who experiment with light-painting etc outdoors who also hang out in the creative photo techniques bit.

And of course, we've loads of people who work in the area of photographing people - there always seems to be a few bump/baby/toddler threads on the go at any one time...

It's good to have you here and I'm looking forward to seeing you out on the forums :)

I was in Maidstone last week there. Got a Buddha belly in Buddha Bellys. It was ok for the money.
