Just registered after ending up here on a lot of my searches.
Looking forward to joining in with some general jibba jabba and unashamedly borrowing your knowledge and experiences
I've just bought a 60D after toying with the usual 60D dilemmas (7D etc). Basically I want a full frame for video work as well as stills but with the 5D MKII due to be upgraded (likely next year...I guess) then I felt it was best to stay in the cropped corner. The 7D lost out only because it was more to spend when now is a time to save the cash for the next gen full frame and also start a collection of good glass.
Shame ML can't get going with the 7D. So the 60D with it's sound level controls and bulkier feel than the XXXDs won out in the end (I know the 7D is superior in most other areas ). Got it new for only £80 more than the eBay sellers. Full UK one too.
I come from an astrophotography background (although very short time) and have used the lil 450D-550D and ended up modding them and selling them on.
Anywho...hope that isn't too much of a waffle for a first post and let the post count begin
