Hi
My name is Ben, though on this forum ill be under the moniker of arguably the first king of the 'English', as you can guess I did a history degree and though i specialized in eastern European takes on the end of the cold war I feel i have a decent depth of subject knowledge.
I got into photography quite recently, within the last 12months, mainly through my love of MMA, Mixed martial arts, and wanting to shoot sport. I had tired to use my dads old pentax film camera a few years ago but being a student then i had too much beer to be getting on with processing via my liver. Now iv graduated though and beer is off the cards I would like to improve my camera skills.
I currently have a Pentax K100D and a multitude of MF old pentax lens but im looking to move up to a canon maybe a 7D? as iv been doing more sport photography which can be seen on my Flickr if you care to look

That's about it really i currently live in London but if all things goto plan i'll be Australia within in a few months so i hope to have a new camera up and running then to document that amazing country!!
