Hey Guys, I'm New, Wonder If You Could Help

Hey TP, i've just registered
i'm a young photographer from the north east of england and am very excited to become a part of this community

i have a few questions though because i've never used a forum site before
i'm sorry if i seem stupid but i lack basically all knowledge of forum sites.
do i get notified of replies (i'll soon find out) from my posts on other peoples threads?
and is it possible to message people privately or leave comments or anything like that? i'm only really used to myspace.

i'm not even sure on how to navigate the forums properly or where my updates are on the screen, i'm pretty losts

Hiya Luke and welcome to TP.

Well you managed to upload your avatar which seems to to defeat many people for ages after joining. Click 'User CP' on the blue bar at the top of the forums page. On the page that appears,over on the left you'll see 'Edit Options' Click that and then scroll down the page and tick or untick the options you want to enable including private messaging and e-mail notification for threads you've subscribed to.

Take your time and have a look around you'll soon get the hang of it.

If you hit 'Quick LInks' on the top bar and then 'Subscribed Threads', it brings up a list of threads you've started or contributed to.
