Hi,

Been lurking a while enjoying all the great photo's here and learning a bit aswell :)

I'm Ian, live in Guisborough, Cleveland

New to photography apart from taking the odd snap here and there. Picked up a Canon 350 with a kit lens to start learning with, thinking about taking a ten week evening class at college starting in the new year.

Quick question if I may, It's coming up to winter but I want to get out a few early mornings to try and learn about the different camera settings/functions, Is it ok to have the camera out in cold/damp? does it need protecting in anyway?

Cheers
Ian

yes its o.k to take camera out in cold/wet a large plastic bag will keep rain off it .with a hole for end of lens to poke out of but keep it dry if you can.

problems can occur when going from warm to damp & vice versa with condensation so leave some time for it to adjust

 welcome to the forum youll learn plenty here
