Just bought my first SLR (EOS 500d) a couple of weeks ago as an upgrade from a Panasonic FZ8 compact.
At work I have used a 5d on a few occasions and the 500d feels way to cramped and compact in comparison. I'm hoping to upgrade to either a 7d or 5d MkII next Spring but first I want to learn the ropes with this one.
I'm hoping a combination of reading up on threads here and getting out as much as I can to practice will see me right. I really need something to get me out the house and keep me active at this time of year anyway!
Look forward to having a good read around and sharing some pics for C&C etc...
