I've tried starting a thread and posting a picture of mine, and couldn't find where i upload it to that thread, any help?

Nope. Whilst it's easy to link from an external account, you can upload to your gallery on here and link from there. Click gallery, and then possibly my photos then the should be an upload photo option. (sorry currently on the tp app so can't check)
