Hi there. I'm paul and have decided to buy myself a bridge camera as an introduction to photography. At first, my sole intention was to photograph my soon-to-be born son, however, much to the annoyance of my fiancè, the passion has grown into a slight obsession.

I have started with a simple pana lumix fz45 as it seemed a fairly decent camera for a beginner such as myself.

Finally, a warning!!! I fully intend to pick all of your brains and geek out at every opportunity so I shall apologise in advance for the many questions i will no doubt unleash upon you all.

Thank you. I have had countless ideas for great shots of the bump and at the moment all that limits me is my talent. Hehe. Im aware that my camera is not the most technically advanced and the sensor size fairly small, but all the same I feel it will give me a nice start without breaking the bank.

I look forward to gaining the knowledge this forum can offer. X
