I'm still amazed houses are full of 42" TVs,Wii consoles and toys galore but no smoke alarms.

Do people just think "it'll never happen to me" :shrug:
 
I think the majority of households do have smoke alarms, the problem is (and I'm as guilty as the next person) that people fit and forget them. Batteries wont last forever !

** runs off to check smoke alarm batteries **
 
mine start beeping when the batteries get low
