Yes
as i grasp round her, she puts a smile on my face:love:. Yes ladies and gentlemen, my 50D finally arrived and about time too.:rules:

My mother in law tried to make it a christmas present:nono: and i soon changed her mind with a little bribery.:thumbs:

Its a lot bigger and heavier than the 400D that i had before, I have tested it and am well impressed, apart from my nifty front focusing:( but that i will see if can be corrected with the micro adjustment feature. (never had a problem on the 400D)

Going to do some real world shooting tomorrow with it so we will see how it goes.

I'm sure you'll love your new camera. When I added a D300 to my D80 I had to take a step backward and relearn some things because the newer camera did so much better with metering; since then, it's been all I'd ever hoped for. The heavier body doesn't take long to get used to; I find it an advantage...the greater mass tends to be more stable and forgiving of a less than perfect shutter release. (You know...when you forget yourself and stab at the shutter rather than rolling across it in a smooth motion.)

nice one:woot:. (i have no idea of it's spec but thought i'd be 1st to congratulate you):)

thanks guys much appreciated will have to psot a few examples once i get back

she is nice to handle, gonig to take some getting used too but so far i am really happy. I keep tryingto look for the buttons where everythingwas on my 400D.

I had that problem when I upgraded too. What was once intuitive now takes thought and things do work a little differently on different models. I use slightly less underexposure on one camera than the other and the autofocus and metering are different too.

It's kind of like rewiring your brain to get it to do what you want.

Have fun with your lump of metal :)

snap, though i've hardly picked mine up since i bought it, lack of time / inspiration :(

and just for the tease of others!
