Hey everyone, im here again, asking for some advice. Im an amateur photographer, with a canon 400d 18-75mm IS USM, 70-300mm, and 10-22mm, 430ex II flashgun and big grip.
I have been asked to photograph a close friends wedding, which is tomorrow, and to say the least im a little apprehensive!
Ive taken most things except people, and dont want to mess up someones wedding pics!
The wedding is in a normal church, nice surrounding graveyard area with lots of trees and a little open land, reception is being held in a very large old barn with limited natural light.
Im asking whether any of you more pro's out there could help me with any advice on the best settings to use, from your past experiences.
best iso's, f-stops, when to and not to use a flash etc etc.

If anyone is willing to offer some extra advice id be greatly appreciative.

Will post some shots after too, to let you know how it went.

Many thanks guys

Guy Metcalf

some advice from me, im not a pro but have now done a few weddings!
A:make a note of the shots the couple want and you want! draw stick men if you have to! you WILL forget if you dont do this trust me!

B:goto the church today and take some test shots using diff settings, using higher ISO etc goto the barn also. good idea to take someone with you to photo them if you can.

C:dont panic! people sense this!

there are lots of threads on a similar nature use the search function im sure you will find them, having never done a wedding i cant help more than that sorry.

Find a backup camera, just in case. And take lots of batteries and memory cards.

Have fun, but don't have any shandies until you have all the shots that you need to get.

Shoot in raw in case you get the white balance wrong?
