Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me with my photography I am still fairly new to it and young. However I enjoy it a lot and I am willing to learn everything I can about it. If there is anyone who would do this please contact me on this or my flickr.

Thanks

If you specify exactly what you want help with, maybe the right tog with the right skills will come along and help you!

Hi Stephen, just a few suggestions from me. Post on here and ask for critique but don't post too many images in the same thread just one or two at a time.
The only other suggestion is to take lots and lots of images of anything and everything until you find a style you are comfortable with and know what kinds of things you like.

I had a look at you flick r stuff and there are some good images on there so keep practicing and posting and you will see a vast difference fairly quickly.

Cheers

Andy

Join Groups.. really.. with Flickr it's the best bit if you want to learn. Pick SMALL groups (max 200 members) that are ACTIVE (multiple active discussions every week) where there is an obvious supportive atmosphere in the discussions. Avoid large photo-dump groups and anything with compulsory comments, favourites, etc.

Looking at your Flickr profile you're not making much effort to get your images seen. Make lots of useful comments on other people's images. In general you'll get back what you put out. This also means that by putting out "atta boy" and "nice shot" comments that's exactly what you'll get back. Give your images meaningful titles, and if you want to improve.. say what you like, what you don't like and what you'd like help on in the description. Anything you do to make it easier to allow people to produce a useful comment for you will help.

As already mentioned, get along to the meet a local tog, find someone local and send them a message!

Looking through your Flickr account the pictures aren't bad at all for a beginner. You clearly have enthusiasm for photography which is half the trouble.

Keep it up!
