I bought this off ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....379935&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_2885wt_941
I put it on my expensive Nikkor 85 1.8 D and then on my 30D. It was good, then I wanted to try it on my 600mm - and I can't get the blasted thing off!:( It just won't come off. I now also have fairly deep cuts from trying to 'grip and twist it off' as the metal is obviously not properly refined. What am I going to do?:'(:shake::( Not even my lens, strictly speaking.:shake:

Me thinks your in the wrong thread.

But have you tried wrapping a dish cloth (dry + clean) around it to give some more grip?

Perhaps a pair of marigolds for some extra grip?

For a start, you are turning the right way?

There should be a release/lock pin... you are doing that, right?

OK, assuming neg on the above then it's stuck. And you need to grip it but can't? Got a clean pair of trainers? Press the rease, and push the lens (adapter down) onto your trainer sole bottom then try and rotate it (the right way :D ).

Or put the lot back in the camera and try to get the nikon bit off using the camera to hold it.

"Quality Guarantee, with lock pin, stop screw"

Is the lock pin disengaging?

Don'y know if it will fit, but how about one of those devices that you can get to take off stuck jam jar lids like this
And get some plasters for the cuts before metal shards get in there and go septic

I bought something similar from China & couldn't get it off my Nikon D80. I took it to the local camera shop & he the guy is a friend took it off. I threw the thing away.

thankgoodness my brother managed to get its off. :) Combination of me not doing it correctly and the lock pin not appearing to be very flexible. Thankgoodness, I'm relieved! thankyou for the advice, sorry in the wrong thread. Thankyou Rudy. :)

As Arthur suggests, have you tried putting it back onto the camera, locking it in place and then removing the lens?

Too Late...fortunately :)

yay Rudy saves the day again :D it is so awkward taking off a lens XD
