Ok it seems that whenever I upload a pic it doesn't show it (ie just a cross)
What am I doing wrong???? Any advice greatly appreciated....
Sue
Where are you uploading to? Please can you post an example (I know it sounds silly, but it will probably help)
I have just had the same problem on the equipment forum (18-200mm Nikon lens thread.)The problem with mine was that http was already showing in the window when I pasted. You need to paste over the top of that, not at the side like I did so showing http twice instead of just once.Hope that helps.
Could it be that the image account that you post your [/img] link to here is not set for 'public' access, therefore it's not seen here. I might be wrong though![]()
You haven't actually linked to an image file, you need to grab the full url of the image which in your case is
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2681/4124332183_88d0d41b4a_o.jpg
You can find this by right clicking the image on flickr and selecting properties
(Edit: Yv beat me to it)
The Op did originally have an 800*600 sized image, im assuming it was re uploaded to try to increase the size which was caused by grabbing the thumbnail url.
Just re upload the original picture and you can have the full sized one on the forum
I know, I was busy looking at the same one, then tried to go back to be told it had goneThe problem now is that you have uploaded an odd size [in terms of posting here]
so...
1 - resize the image on your pc to 800px's on longest side.
2 - upload to flickr
3 - click on pic, then select 'all sizes' from the little icons above it [this will open it at the 800px size you have uploaded]
4 - right click on the 800px picture, select properties, then run highlight and copy the image url shown in the properties window
5 - come back to the forum, open the post window [or edit your existing post], click on the little image icon, and paste the url you just copied into it.
click ok, and save your changes to post.
Edit: or use the smaller version as Thmaga has shown![]()

hurrahhhh!
