Where are you uploading to? Please can you post an example (I know it sounds silly, but it will probably help)

I have just had the same problem on the equipment forum (18-200mm Nikon lens thread.)The problem with mine was that http was already showing in the window when I pasted. You need to paste over the top of that, not at the side like I did so showing http twice instead of just once.Hope that helps.

I had noticed that before I posted but got the same, not showing the image :'(

Could it be that the image account that you post your [/img] link to here is not set for 'public' access, therefore it's not seen here. I might be wrong though :)

Ok I'm not sure I'm getting you here. Could you elaborate? :)

wrong link, you need the image link, not the page, fromflickr. Right click on the actual pic itself [the 800px version], and copy the url from properties [or just select 'copy image location' if using firefox] then paste that into the image tags

You haven't actually linked to an image file, you need to grab the full url of the image which in your case is

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2681/4124332183_88d0d41b4a_o.jpg

You can find this by right clicking the image on flickr and selecting properties

(Edit: Yv beat me to it)

Ok I got you now, many thanks to you all...but have now done this but the pic has gone so small. Why it saved as 75 x 75 pix I havent a clue as the original is 3072 x 2034

I am so confused......:bang:

You need to view the bigger image and right click that as opposed to the thumbnail image.

The problem now is that you have uploaded an odd size [in terms of posting here]

so...

1 - resize the image on your pc to 800px's on longest side.

2 - upload to flickr

3 - click on pic, then select 'all sizes' from the little icons above it [this will open it at the 800px size you have uploaded]

4 - right click on the 800px picture, select properties, then run highlight and copy the image url shown in the properties window

5 - come back to the forum, open the post window [or edit your existing post], click on the little image icon, and paste the url you just copied into it.

click ok, and save your changes to post.

Edit: or use the smaller version as Thmaga has shown ;)

The Op did originally have an 800*600 sized image under all sizes, im assuming it was re uploaded to try to increase the size which was caused by grabbing the thumbnail url.
Just re upload the original file you had and you can have the full sized one on the forum

 I know, I was busy looking at the same one, then tried to go back to be told it had gone

It ruined my post, I had to rewrite it and everything! :p

Passed my 100 Postcount now though!

*gets back on topic*
