help !

Sorry if this has been asked before......

Im new to photography and have recently started out in the editing world,i am using Elements 7,i have also just converted to shooting in RAW,since doing this i dont seem to be able to upload my converted pics to say Flickr...

Can anyone advise me on how or what i need to do so that i can host my pics online ? My computer can find all of my old JPEG files but cannot find the RAW one's.

im do not use raw files as of yet but when you go to upload when you find the photo go to the bottom it will say jpeg there will be a button next to it click it then go down to raw and it should show

RAW files have a different extension & need to be processed before you upload them to flickr.

Thanks for the reply,how do i go about "processing" them so that i can host them ?

You need to use the Canon software that came with your camera- or you can use other software (not sure about elements)

I dont know if elements can do it, but the idea is that you open the RAW file into a processing program, do any changes you need, sharpening, etc, then save as a jpg, probably with a resize first to make the pic quicker to upload, for instance, if you want to post your pics here from flickr, maybe resize to 800pxs on longest side.

A raw file isn't a picture, its just data.
Shoot raw and use the extra information it contains to edit and enhance, you'll need software that edits raw.
Save the finished raw edit as jpg and upload that.
