i ve got a new pc and can't get screen saver to work. it preview ok but won't run.
any suggestions!

But some of us might be able to help - coz were a friendly lot - so right forum

As to the problem - will any of the screensavers work? Are you able to change screensavers? Is it just one that wont work?

Select the screensaver you want, click "Apply", then "OK". Should work after that.

Could be that you've just got the delay for it to kick in set too high - the slightest movement of the mouse will reset this counter.

Set it to 1min, apply it and get back to the desktop, go make yourself a cuppa, come back and the screensaver should be active.

Quite often a process running in the background will prevent a screensaver from running. A classic culprit for this is wireless keyboards and mice. My screensaver will never kick in when I use a wireless mouse but works every time if I use a USB mouse

ah wireless mouse eh! that sounds like it could be the answer. will try that when i go upstairs.
