help with wireless flash set-up

My current set up is YN622 on the camera to fire two other YN622's, one of these has a canon ex580ex11 and the other is a YN568ex11.

I want both flashes in manual mode, and have set both to this with one firing at 1/8 and the other at 1/64. I've set the in camera (5dmk3) flash settings to M but there seems to be only one output level to select, and so when i go to take a shot both flashes reset themselves to whatever the camera flash output setting is.

Is there way around this so the flashes remain at the settings I selected, rather than resetting every time i press the shutter?

I have not used these, but do you have to put the YN622's in to a manual mode as well?

Also I think you can have lighting groups with different powers assigned to each group. Again I have never done that but seen it on a Gary Fong youtube video. May be you have to assign each flash to a different group.

Can you not control the flash output through the camera menu? I know you shouldn't have a problem with the 580, not sure about the 568.

Haven't got mine handy to check, but don't you put them in different groups, I'm sure my camera (7d) allows me to set different powers for different groups

I couldn't see a way of selecting different groups in camera. The transceivers have different groups and channels on them so maybe that's how to do it?

If you set the receivers on different groups, do they then show on the menu (presumably you've told the camera that you're using remote flash)

You set the 2x 622/s on the flashes to different groups and ratio between them on the camera menu (ETTL).They work very well I have the same setup but 4x 622's.

Or

Set one flash on group A the other on group B. Set your 5d3 to M in the flash settings and where it says flashes ALL (bottom left) change to A:B. Now you can control each flashes output separately.
