Help with website please!

Hi, I'm busy creating a website through photium (got a 30 day trial at the moment). I want to do a nice title with maybe a small photo to the side. Could anyone suggest how I can do a more arty title that I can then upload for the website?
Any advice would be appreciated, cheers Mark.

Hi,

Try making the title in Photoshop ect, then upload the whole thing as a graphic, that way you would have more control over the look/layout

Yeah, and slow it down a lot for users with a slow connection, at least he first load.
I have no experience with photium, so I can't help you, sorry.

Cosmix (or anyone), how do you create a title on photoshop. I basically want a title with a coulored background with a small photo on the end.

Hi,

You would need to start a new image (File/New) set the size you want, chose the background color, then you can use the Text tool to greate the title then add the image on a new layer. when it is how you like save in jpg (or gif depending on the image used, jpg is proberbly best), their is an option under file to save for web (but ive never used this)

If you are making a title for a website as an image then it is most likely going to be in one shade of colour text wise and essentially it is wiser to save it as a gif as the compression rate will be much higher and more suitable for use on the web. jpeg should be reserved for photographic imagery. The save for web option will give you some options to compress your image even more for use on the web, so I would encourage you give that a shot. If I were you I'd have the title separate from the photo you want at the side (two separate images) and then align them side by side where you want them on your web page.
