Help with travel art project

Our daughter needs some inspiration, its an art project to do with travel, but struggling to find specific artists.
Ansel adams travelled around taking pictures but she needs some more inspiration so ideas please, known prhotographers who should inspire her.

Flaubert? Before he wrote Madame Bovery he travelled to Egypt and took photos. This was around 1850, so no easy task. This may have been the first set of travel photos.
 
Steve McCurry is a current one, whether he's a travel photographer is a moot point maybe.

How about some of the pioneering photographers who explored the American west for the US Geographical surveys, such as William Bell and Timothy o'sullivan? They were photographing pretty much unexplored lands in the 1870's.
