Help with software choice for 10bit per channel colour

Hi, I need some advice from experienced users as I have bought a Dell U2711 monitor with the intention of having my yet to be bought editing software work at 10bits/channel (30 bit).

I know I need a compatible card from either AMD or Nividia - ATI Firepro or Quadro and I need to use the Displayport connection. Advice on exactly which card from either manufacturer would be good.

On to software; which package will support this? Does LR4? Or is CS6 the only way to go? I'm not sure I'll need all the functionality of CS6, but if that's the only choice then so be it.

Lastly, where or how can I get the best deal on whichever I go for?

I'm not sure about the 10bit part but both Lightroom and Photoshop handle 16bit files, as does Paint shop Pro, and I think even the free Gimp does now.
