Help with shutter release.

Im probably being thick here, but this is the first remote shutter thingy Ive bought.

I bought a Hahnel HRC 280 remote shutter release for my Canon 40D.

I cant find how to attach it? Do I need something else too? :shrug:

Yes but it doesnt fit. None of the connector ends do.:shrug:

There are two rubber flaps,open the one nearest the front of the camera.

You need to select the end that will fit in the lower of the two sockets you see, it has three pins inside (N3 connection)

Thanks, but none of the ends fit that hole. Im wondering if its the wrong one, even though it said its for the 40d? None of the connectors have a 3 pin hole.

Never even saw the holes in that end which isnt the right shape for the hole anyway. Thanks so much, Ill shrivel up and crawl back under my rock now!
