Help with repairing an old Yashica

About twenty years ago I purchased an old Yasica A
I used it for some of my C&G work then once the kids came along I gave up, I gave this and some others I had to a good friend, hes had a clear out and as he knows my daughter has a rapidly expanding camera museum on a shelf in her room he gave her it back.
Dads stripped and repaired the sticking shutter but I need the leatherette type stuff to stick on the front so any ideas?
 
You can either go the cheap way and find a bit of leatherette to cut and stick on or you can make it look shiny and new with a set from these people,

They're really helpful and good value imho and they are a perfect fit, even if they don't show yours it's always worth emailing them as they have all sorts of random camera patterns so yoiour Yashica shouldn't be a problem.

Second the above. Had a couple from them - notably one for the Contax AX a couple years ago. Fit like a glove, looked like a million dollars (had the dark green one).

Phew, i can't bear to see working cameras rotting in display cabinets.

They're cracking little cameras and are sometimes cheap as chips on a well known auction site.
 
Just a word of warning - lots of problems with communication and cameraleather.com reported in the past. Never doubts about the product, but often about dispatch and refund. On APUG it's hidden from search engines, so you can't see what I'm referring to, but on RFF there are some user anecdotes along these lines.

In general, Aki-Asahi are the preferred alternative supplier.

That's interesting, is this a recent problem? I've been using them for about 5 years and I've never had a problem but I've not bought from them for about a year.

It's been mentioned on and off for years on the aforementioned fora. I have no experience of either (when I have a rough looking camera, I tend to just keep it looking rough), so I can't vouch for either company, but just passing on what I've read in the past.
 
Here's a "homegrown" recovering (FX-D rather than FX-3) I did a while ago :D
