help with paint shop

I find the easiest way is with layers.
Dead easy once you understand them, do your b&w conversion on a new layer and use a layer mask to paint over where you want the colour back.

There's loads of ways to do this but try.

Duplicate the image

Convert one image to grayscale

Cut and paste the greyscale image over the colour image as a new layer.

Carefully use the eraser tool to remove the parts of the greyscale layer where you want colour to show through from the bottom layer.

When done, flatten all layers and save the image.

If you are using paint shop.

1 create duplicate layer
2 in effects - B&w
3 use erase tool on the area that you want in colour ..

basically use layer mask on a desaturated layer with the foreground color set to black as you paint over the area u want color

Actually JC yours is the best in this post. You'll soon get the feeling that selective colouring is becoming a bit of a no no amongs serious tog because its been done so much. However, yours is very subtle and I think it's works.
