Help with name change on website

Hi, first I will start by saying I know nothing of website building or the tech talk that goes with it,i have my own website that was purchased as a gift and set up by my eldest daughter ,who as since left home and moved on ,anyway as said I have my own website (zenfolio) ,what I want to do is change the domain name to one that as just come available ,could someone help as to how I would need to go about removing the one I have now to the new one .Thanks
 
Please don't take this as gospel truth or the best way but I feel - rightly or wrongly - slightly awkward about Zenfolio having all my assets in this department.

So my site name host is provided by a company called Fasthosts who are fairly well established. My Zenfolio site uses this and I use the Zenfolio site (relatively) happily. It's been going through some trauma of late. The reason I do this is if I want to move, Fasthosts still have my payment and contract and I'm not held hostage by Zenfolio. Hope this makes sense as this area of computers is not a strong point of mine.
