Yes any EX canon flash will work on your 600D, Check your user manual it will confirm it in the flash section.
Do not fit any of the older flsh guns from film cameras as im sure they use higher voltage and they will damage your camera, Im sure some one will confirm this. But your definately fine with any EX gun.

If your thinking of buying one then have a look at the Yongnuo 565ex and the 568ex they are fully compatable with your 600D and extremey good for the price with excellant build quality.
Ive just purchased the Yongnuo 568 EX for my 60D and its really very good, It matches the canon 580 EX on everything except being a flash commmander and as ive said build quality is very good close to canons standards.
