Folks i need help from everyone who has a facebook account. My friends mum has an aggresive cancer which cannot be cured and my friends sister wrote a poem for her and entered into a comp--she is in the last 12.Knowing cancer affects so many im hoping you can find it in your heart to vote before Monday at 10am. Here is the mail she sent us today-
Hey everyone,
As you all know, my mums poorly with an aggressive cancer, and her big thing was being here for her golden wedding in December, however, the doctors don't reckon on it.
My mum was having chemo, but unfortunately, we were told this week that they are withdrawing treatment as its not working, and the cancer has grown 10% in size since diagnosed in January. On Monday, my mum will be attending the Beatson for 12 days of radiotherapy to see if it can help slow down the growth, although the doctors have told us that they can't cure it.
My sister wrote a poem and entered it inot a Mothers Day competition, and out of 800 entries, she has got through to the final 12..the winner is decided following a public vote.
If my sisters poem wins, she is going to give the prize to my mum and dad....its a trip to Paris for 2 for lunch and an overnight stay....it would be great and totally deserved if my mum got to go and bring her golden wedding forward and celebrate early...you have no idea how much the golden wedding means to both my mum n dad....the doctors have advised us that my mum will be even more poorly and not fit to do anything during her radio treatment, so we are hoping that if we win then they can both have a wee break after her treatment.
