I'm not the best at airbrushing or editing out, as I usually never have to. The girl ( my friend ) has bags under her eyes, so I was wondering for some pointers.

she looks fine to me.... honestly ... keep it real I say :)

Thats what a few others have said.. it looks natural!

5 minute job in photoshop. Clone layers, ~50% opacity for top one and the use clone brush, then tweak all settings. Also get rid of the dark patch in the bottom left corner and its good to go.

Girls love to look pretty, so this is well worth it.

I'd put up with the bags if my friends looked as good as that;) Honestly I think it's fine the way it is but you could use some selective brightness under the eyes if you're concerned about it.

Alternativly and as already mentionioned, reduce them and still keep it real.:)

I'd also go for a better crop as all the bright empty space to the left is distracting.

Agree - the lines NEED to be there. Look at the edited version without the lines and the original. All that's changed are the eyes but she looks much happier in the original picture because the lines are part of her smile.

People used to say a camera steals your soul - I think it's over processing that does that though.

I like this crop. Only women would notice the bags under the eyes. Most men, wont. She is a stunner as well!!

Agreed that the bags should be toned down not removed. Here is how I do it.

• Create a new duplicate layer (Ctrl + J).
• Zoom into the eye area.
• Select the patch tool
• Draw around the bag then click inside the area and drag down until the bag is gone.
• Adjust the opacity of the new layer to somewhere around 40 to 60%.

And, I do agree they do need a little tonning down. But not completely removed

Agreed. Don't know why, but her smile just looks real in the original. The processed ones make the smile look fake (not due to the PP skills mind you). I can see why she would want them removed as women tend to often believe they looks worse than they do! Depends what she wants to use it for i guess...

Well shes using the picture on her model mayhem and on facebook, so I'm guessing she likes it! I never noticed it while processing and then she mentioned but she never freaked out. I think it looks better like that, than processed and airbrushed!

I like the portrait but much prefare the way it is??
