help with editing- swanage pier

hi, not sure where to put this but thought its basic. Took this classic but cliche shot of swange old pier after a failed attempt last year. Got the shot just right with nice exposure and sharp but problem is there a moving jetty stationed in front of the pier and as was my only real chance at the shot had to put it in the shot and edit it out. That is my problem cloning is not my strong point. Have cloned boats and other bits out but the jetty after editing looks obvious. How is the best way tol edit large material out, im using elements 10? Would be grateful for any help and pointers. Is the actual shot worth saving?
