Help with editing PS

Hi all, Im not very skillful with Photoshop and need to remove the car from the background of this image. The car only image will be going onto a printed banner and will overlay a stripe already on the banner so not sure how this will work?
Ive seen tutorials on how to layer mask (?) so you have a chequered background but my difficulty comes when trying to get a neat outline around the car to remove it from the background, and then lay it over another invisible layer, if that makes sense.
Can anyone help remove the car, or let me know the best way of doing this please?

The most precise way of doing it would be with the PEN TOOL. But it takes some getting used to.

Certainly looks simple(?) though I surmise it might depend on which PS version you have ?
 
I did this rather roughly for you, if you open it in photoshop then select all/copy and paste onto your background it will work. You might need to resize and rotate etc.
But selecting through windscreen and behind seats was a problem area also the drivers door was open so I left that out
I think it might look contrived to have your background showing through windscreen as if there was no glass there so it wants painting in at 50% opacity or something.

I normally use the magnetic lasso tool to cut out sections of the car a bit at a time, using the add to selection. Given the car is a clearly contrasting colour to the background, I think it would work quite well.
 
I would use one of the selection tools to grab the whole car and then refine the selection using a small brush to add or subtract bits - remember to deselect the landscape seen through the windows. You can then refine the selection by using the smooth parameter on refine edge. when you are happy with it, copy and paste and it will automatically be put on a transparent layer. Turn off your initial layer and remember to save it as a PNG file as that will keep the transparency. I use PE so not sure exactly what selection tools you have in PS.
 
What you want is going to be a PITA to do well. You've also got the BG through the windshield and headrest along with some reflections in the paint to deal with. And then you have the black tires/bodywork blending into a hard shadow.

I suggest you learn to use the pen tool to make detailed/refined selections... plenty of tutorials online.
