Hi everyone, I have an issue which I am hoping someone can help with, I use a laptop for all my photo processing and it runs windows 7 home premium. My camera uses SD cards and I have to use a card reader with a usb connection to transfer the photos to the laptop, all was fine until a few months ago when the laptop started showing a message saying usb device not recognised, or not showing anything at all. I have tried new card readers which work fine to start with then the same problem arises, ( I must have purchased more than a dozen card readers!! ) I have tried all the usual remedies like system restore, uninstalling the card readers and re-installing and uninstalling the usb drives, but nothing seems to solve the problem, I have just purchased another card reader and it worked a treat first time, now on its second use it has taken 45 minutes to transfer 125 raw images and that was after 3 attempts for the laptop to recognise it. Is this a simple fix or something more serious, please help.
