I'm trying to remove the woman on the right and blend the background.
I'm struggling with content aware and cloning seems so painstakingly slow.
Is there a quicker way to do it?
I'm not going to spend any time pp if it's going to take hours just to do this process.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Content aware woun't do the job - It has limitations and this is a complex job!

Take a clone sample from the right of the image and clone to the left. Use a seperate layer

My 2 minte clone - Very rough and care would be get better results.

You call that rough?
It looks quite good to me.

You've cut the poor things ear off, and left an elbow and some other bits behind!!

It's a fine job though.

With CS5 I'd be tempted to use the new edge detection, cut them out onto a new layer, then fiddle with the background separately on the layer underneath. You could be a lot less refined with your cloning and maybe even get away with rough deleting then using CAF.

Here you go, 5 mins quick and dirty with the idea I floated above.
I reckon with another few mins tweaking the mask, you'd never know....

Do you mean use the quick selection tool then right click to select 'refine edge'?
My PS skills are somewhat lacking.

Better - I wasn't reallyt trying too hard. I didn't create a mask either as I'd normally do that too.

Personally I thought the original pic already had a good job done of removing the woman on the right as per OP, the one on the left is distracting though lol ;)
