Hi there, I'm sorry if this has been covered but i have had a look around the site and can't find exactly what i'm looking for. The problem i have is when i look through the view finder on my Canon 450D on one of the 9 focal points there seems to be a small hair or some sort of dirt . As i am new to all this SLR photography thing please be gentle with me. (But how the heck do i get rid of this annoying thing? :bang:) :help:
Thanks in advance.....

Does it show on pics (unlikely seeing as you can see it on the viewfinder)? In which case its no issue.

DSLRs get stuff inside them. Its a fact of life. Only if its on the sensor does it matter.

Thanks for reply . Don't show on pics but doing my head in as it seem to jump out at me now i know its there.

Its probably on the focus screen. The screen can be taken out and cleaned, but, personally, I'd leave it and learn to love it. It doesn't affect picture quality.

If you're really bothered, then Google for Rocket Blower. Might help. Might not.

Can this screen be taken out easily or is is a trip to jessops?. May try rocket blower first though. It will always come in handy anyway.

Jessops can take it out. So can you. Have a trawl around youtube.

Have you tried holding the body pointing down and blasting it with a blower?

Worked for me ...

I had a weird hair in mine 2

Cheers
