I want to burn a dvd which will perform differently depending on whether it is put into a computer or a dvd player.

There are three items I want to put on the dvd. Two are folders containing multiple images, the third item is a slideshow.

I would like the slideshow to be viewable on a dvd player. I have already created the menu page etc and works fine.

The two folders I want to be accessible on a computer to be usable as ordinary data storage.

How do I go about this? Is it as simple as burning the two folders to the dvd, and then burning the dvd project afterwards?

If the slideshow project burns its own DVD image you might have a problem as it will close the DVD and you wont be able to write anything more to it.
If it just creates a folder on your HDD for you to burn manually you should just be able to dump extra folders in the DVD root directory.
Even if your slideshow software does just burn its own DVD you should be able to copy the data from that to a folder on your HDD and add extra folders to it and then reburn a new master DVD.#
I could be talking out of my bum, and the DVD format doesn't allow data too, but I'm sure it does. You also might be able to burn an additional session to a DVD like you used to be able to do with CD's if you leave the session open. Its been a long long time since I have done this though.

6 discs down and still cant work it out.

Even if I burn the folders to the dvd without closing the disc, DVD Architect wont recognise the disc as writeable.

If I prepare the project and burn it manually along with the other folders, it all goes on ok and starts up fine in the DVD player. But when I press play, the visuals and audio jump around like its corrupt.

Looks like it will have to be two separate discs, as I am stumped!

Glad you got it sorted, sorry if my ideas didn't help much :)

It turns out both methods do the same. Just doing it all through DVD architect is quicker and easier.
