My thoughts exactly
Its all to easy to get caught up in the new camera wars.
When what we should be doing is taking the best pictures with what we have.
Too many cameras are dismissed as some one often on a forum or magazine chooses to run them down.
I am looking forward to trying my old Yashica A out, its old worthless but I like it and the images it produces

agree with you both go and play with an oldie^^THIS attitude^^ is just what the Dr ordered.
I for one shoot with lots of "carp" gear that most photographers wouldn't even bother possessing let alone attempt to use but they all have ( or have had) a place in the history of photography.
Only quite recently someone in the f&c section posted a couple of good shots yet he had evidently been laughed at whilst shooting because he was using a film camera..... some people have no idea or no soul at least.
I get the strangest of looks depending what camera i'm using ......there again i get strange looks at the best of times
@winchman just don't tell anyone that your "shooting a seagull" ................... you may get carted away and questioned(mmmm where's the police smiley gone
........ lost in the "tardis" during it's journey from TP1 it seems!
)

oh by the way asha its hiding behind the jaffa cake![]()
does that make it an official tp gotcha![]()
Ok well seeing as you lot are quite cool i can safely say i read the title and asked myself why you wanted help with a seagull.... i didn't know it was a camera![]()

Trust you!At least if an official tp gotcha comes about, i'll be in 2nd place ......Behind you
![]()
After looking behind the Jaffa? i think not.... If you are going to do something that daft you have to keep it to yourself like i did... they'll soon forget i thought he needed help with a bird after you said that

Thanks
Daughter takes some excellent shots with her 350d.
When I was at college I was lucky and with a load of help from the tutor I took an excellent still life, you could see the disappointment on a blokes face when he asked "did I use a Nikon" no its was an old OM10 and a Miranda lens as its all I could afford.
The Seagulls destined for the shelf although I might throw a film through the Yashica a I have just managed to fix
