Advice needed please.

Just purchased a dual sided 2m x 6m vinyl roll on an aluminium core, quoted weight is 7.75kg and planned on having a first shoot with it today.

Because I am a tool, I stupidly assumed that my el cheapo background stand would be okay and because I am a tool I now have a wrecked el cheapo stand and the Christmassy shots I promised the missus of our daughter will not be happening today.

I've just been having a web search and Jessops and Amazon both sell this
Interfit Background Support System 2.6 x 3.15m
http://www.jessops.com/online.store/categories/products/interfit/background-support-system-2-6-x-3-15m-cor756--34010/show.html

but the description doesn't include a weight bearing figure and only mentions paper and textile rolls, not vinyl.

So, my questions
a) Has anyone got the above support and uses it okay with a 2x6, vinyl roll of around 8kg?
b) Has anyone got any recommendations for a decent stand that will do the job? I'm under the cosh about expendeture having just bought the background and strobes and really want to keep it as well under a hundred quid as I can.
c) Am I a tool?

Please note, questions c is largely rhetorical.

Any advice very gratefully received.

The listing only mentions paper and textiles (Muslin, cloth and canvas etc), and doesn't mention vinyl, which is particularly heavy.

LuxS Studio Decor have a portable support system here, which is sturdier and costs £25 more.

Lencarta have one here, which costs less. I work with Lencarta, so please bear that in mind.

Manfrotto make a stand called the Master stand.

Unsurprisingly this has been copied by the Chinese many times, and they aren't expensive.

Why not do an eBay search under this term ?

I am guessing secondhand that a Chinese one could be had for £20 and an Italian Manfrotto for around £40 ?
