HELP! Using brush tool to edit highlights only?

I was using CS4 to rapidly edit the white floor on an image, guy I helped out oneday showed me a nifty trick where I just opened a brush set it to highlights, wiped it around a bit and voila, white floor.
used history brush on any bits where i had gone over shoes/ dresses etc.

Now I am trialing CS5 but cant for the life of me find the same option to do highlight, where am I supposed to find it!!:bonk:

Are you sure it was the brush tool rather than the dodge tool? that has a highlight option.
