Hey guys this is probably in the wrong place but couldn't figure out which forum to put this in.

How do you upload photos from Flickr so that they actually display on the post rather than just putting a link?

At the moment I have the tedious task of rescaling images and reducing quality to Adhere to 500kb and 1024x1024 pixels.

Any pointers would be great :)

As a general tip, if you want the images to look their best then consider re-sizing before uploading, because sometimes flickr resize degrades the image.
 
The above link doesn't work. I am doing that at the moment takes about 20secs in GIMP thought be easier to copy paste URL though
 
I upload to Flickr without resizing first. Never had an issue.
You can also go larger than 1024 on the longest side and it still uploads ok.
 
It's not the upload to Flickr I have issue with its sharing them on here without resizing to 1024 and 500kb. If I share from Flickr it puts a link rather than showing an image with also contains a link

1024 and 500kb only applies to direct uploads using the upload a file button.
If you copy the BB code as shown, it will work fine.

You're obviously doing something right. :) But sometimes one comes across an image hosted on Flickr that looks lousy here, only to follow up to Flickr and see a glorious version at full size.
